Farm

• My neighbors Ray Williams and Liz York approached me to build a simple website to get the word out about Back Beyond Farm, their beautiful working farm in Tunbridge, Vt.

• The website is dressed up with George Lawrence’s wonderful illustration as a banner and their photos (with a few of mine mixed in). I set up the domain name, hosting and security certificate for the WordPress-based site. The GeneratePress template adapts across all platforms.

• I met Mary Ellen and Austin Chadd when I photographed their local wedding a few years ago. The Chadds are now farming in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, and they came to me in frustration after trying to set up a website on their own.
• We recently switched their older HTML/CSS website into a WordPress-based version with a GeneratePress template, which displays nicely on any platform. The Photo Gallery page also automatically adapts to the device it is viewed on.

• For several years I have been maintaining a website I designed for our neighbors, Wendy and Jean Palthey, who have a beautiful vegetable farm. I not only designed the site for them, but I’m fortunate to go photograph their farm on occasion. There’s nothing like warm soil on your bare feet!

• The website has been switched to a WordPress-based structure with SSL security, using the GeneratePress template so the site is tablet/mobile-friendly. We recently added a WooCommerce store and shopping cart to the site, which helps Wendy and Jean to receive orders and payments before going to market.
